𓇽 The Bioenergetics of Structured Water: Exploring the Influence of Intention and Coherence on Hydration, Cellular Communication, and Healing

Maggie Moon – Temple of Lilith | Independent Research Thesis

This blog explores the concept of Bioenergetics of Structured Water. The water whose molecular arrangement and electromagnetic coherence have been altered by exposure to human intention, healing energy, or sacred sound. Drawing on the research of Dr. Glen Rein, along with supporting studies in biophysics, quantum biology, and traditional healing systems, this thesis examines how subtle energetic influences can measurably impact water’s behavior and biological compatibility. Structured water, often found in glacial springs or created through intentional practice, appears to enhance cellular hydration, DNA resonance, and metabolic function, offering a bridge between scientific inquiry and ancient wisdom.

Introduction: Water as a Living Interface

Water is the fundamental medium through which life expresses itself. It comprises over 70% of the human body and serves not merely as a solvent, but as a carrier of bioinformation, vibrational resonance, and electrical potential (Ball, 2008). In recent decades, researchers have turned their attention toward the subtle properties of water. Specifically , its capacity to store, respond to, and transmit energetic information. This research opens new paradigms for healing, hydration, and consciousness itself.

One key figure in this field is Dr. Glen Rein, a biophysicist whose experiments demonstrated that human intention and coherent energy fields can alter the electromagnetic properties of water, leading to observable changes in biological systems.

What Is Structured Water?

Structured water refers to water whose molecules have been rearranged into a more coherent, ordered state. Unlike bulk tap water, structured water exhibits hexagonal clustering, improved surface tension, and enhanced dielectric properties, suggesting increased bioavailability and communication with living cells (Pollack, 2013).

Structured water is often found in nature through sacred wells,  glacial melts., spring water, or the water inside plant cells. These environments naturally create vortexes, light exposure, and energetic fields that promote coherence. In laboratory settings, structured water may be created via vortexing, light exposure, sound frequency, or intentional energetic practices.

Dr. Glen Rein’s Contributions

Dr. Glen Rein, PhD in biochemistry and former researcher at Stanford and Harvard Medical School, pioneered studies on the effects of coherent human emotions and energy healing on water and DNA. His paper “The Biological Effects of Consciousness on DNA” (Rein, 1992) documented how Reiki and loving intention measurably increased the UV absorption of water samples and modified DNA solubility.

In controlled studies, Rein found that:

  • Meditative and healing states enhanced the electromagnetic coherence of water

  • Chanting sacred sounds or mantras (including “OM”) created measurable frequency harmonics in water

  • Structured water exposed to intention had a greater effect on DNA transcription and enzyme activity

Rein proposed that water acts as a liquid crystal capable of storing information from electromagnetic and scalar fields, making it a possible medium for consciousness-biological interface (Rein, 1992; Rein & McCraty, 1994).

Scientific Support: Structured Water and Cellular Hydration

Supporting Rein’s findings, Dr. Gerald Pollack (University of Washington) introduced the concept of the “Exclusion Zone” (EZ) Water, a fourth phase of water beyond solid, liquid, and vapor. EZ water is structured, forming near hydrophilic surfaces and cell membranes, and appears critical for cellular energy production, detoxification, and electrical charge (Pollack, 2013).

Pollack’s work reveals that:

  • Structured water excludes solutes, forming a purification field

  • It is negatively charged, allowing it to store and release energy

  • Light (especially infrared) enhances water structuring

  • Cells require structured water for efficient mitochondrial activity

This provides physiological support for Rein’s more subtle, energetic claims, suggesting that both light and intention may activate similar coherence fields in water relevant to health.

Traditional and Esoteric Perspectives

Many indigenous and mystical systems have long regarded water as a conscious, sacred being. In Tantra, water is associated with the sacral chakra (Svadhisthana), emotional flow, and Shakti: the divine feminine life force. Kabbalistic and Hermetic teachings refer to water as the medium of the unconscious, receptive and programmable.

Practices like:

  • Speaking blessings over water

  • Charging water under moonlight or with sacred glyphs

  • Using copper vessels (Ayurveda)

  • Infusing water with intention, crystal resonance, or mantra

…all mirror Rein’s and Pollack’s findings in different languages. These spiritual technologies structure water not just at the molecular level, but at the soul level, aligning the drinker with coherence, vitality, and sacred presence.

Applications and Implications

Structured water may enhance:

  • Cellular hydration and detoxification

  • Hormonal balance and metabolism

  • Energy healing outcomes (via vibrational resonance with body fluids)

  • Spiritual attunement, especially in ritual or priestess work

  • DNA repair and mitochondrial function (via improved bioelectrical charge)

Its integration into temple ritual, Reiki, magickal practices, and trauma healing presents a profound tool for energetic transformation.

Conclusion: Water as Memory

The work of Dr. Glen Rein offers compelling support for the ancient claim that water is a living, remembering force. Whether through mantra, touch, or focused prayer, the body of water becomes the body of the goddess mutable, reflective, and deeply alive.

To structure water is not just to hydrate it is to encode intention into the very matrix of matter, inviting coherence into the cells, soul, and sacred body.

Water remembers.

The body remembers.

And through structured ritual, so do we.𓋹 Temple of Lilith Water Rituals of Power and \

𓇽 Sacred Waters of the Flame-Serpent

In the current of the Temple, water is not merely water. It is the carrier of memory, the blood of the Earth, the serpent-coil of power in liquid form. When charged with breath, voice, and divine will, water becomes a vessel of transformation, healing, and rebirth.

𓇽

Solar Flame Water

To empower, energize, and awaken the sacred self

Best done daily at sunrise, upon awaking,  or midday

What you need:

A glass jar or pitcher filled with spring or filtered water

Optional additions: fresh basil, orange peel, calendula petals, or carnelian stone (remove before drinking)

Place in direct sunlight for at least 10  minutes, in direct sunlight. If you have the tine you can also charge during the Hour of the Sun

Ritual:

Place your hands around the vessel and whisper:

“ŠA ŠAMAŠ, TI ZI LILITU”

(Breath of the Sun, Life, Spirit of the Lilitu)

Hold the Abhaya Mudra (right hand raised, palm out) and the Prithvi Mudra (thumb + ring finger of the left hand touching)

Breathe deeply 7 times, visualizing golden light spiraling into the water

Speak or chant:

“By the Flame that dances in the heavens, by the breath of dawn, I charge this water with strength, vitality, and sacred purpose. May it awaken my soul, heal my body, and quicken my fire.”

Seal with breath over the water. Drink throughout the day and ever  before a yoga, meditation, ritual to empower and align.

𓇽 Moon Water of the Serpent Womb

To deepen intuition, restore the soul, soften grief, and charge intentions

Best done at night during the Waxing Moon, Full Moon, or under the stars

What you need:

Clear jar or chalice of water

Optional additions: lavender, rose, silver leaf, or moonstone

Place under moonlight or starlight for at least 30 minutes
